Kirill Vinter

I am the mother of Kirill Vinter. We came to Moscow from Irkutsk for treatment. Little Kirill is only nine months old, and he is gravely ill. He is suffering from congenital combined immunodeficincy. Since birth, he spent a lot of time at hospitals, because he was always ill. The doctors could not diagnose his disease for a long time. He is still in poor condition and does not gain weight. At last we have found a hospital where the actual diagnosis was determined. Now we can hope. But Kirill needs an urgent operation of marrow transplantation from one of his parents. Special purification of cells is required for this purpose. This procedure is very expensive, and we just cannot pay for it ourselves.

Kirill Vinter, nine months old (born May 2, 2005) is suffering from grave combined immune insufficiency. The child has had recurrent infections since his birth: pneumonias, otitides, enterocolitides. Was operated for gastroesophageal reflux at the age of six months. Stopped gaining weight at the age of two months owing to deteriorated intestinal absorption, which is due to recurrent gastrointestinal infections.
Presently the child is a patient of the Department of Clinical Immunology, RCCH. Has received intensive antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, anti-TBC symptomatic therapy. Receives parenteral feeding. The only possible way of curing the child is haploidentical transplantation of hemopoetic stem cells from the parents using T-depletion. The set for graft purification costs 3700 euro.
